This iron spits and sputters water all over my clothes. Steams well...but just leaks like crazy. I'm finished with it....looking for a new iron...one that holds its water.

This iron has GREAT steam, but that's the only thing good I can say about it! It didn't last more than a couple months. It spits, all over your garments, then shortly after just dies. It is by far the cheapest iron ever! I actuall tried two of them and had the same experience both times. Went back to the old Classic black steam irom. Black and Decker still makes it!

Received this as a wedding gift approximately 1 year ago. Worked well for a few months, then began spitting out rust water (despite the fact that I always emptied water from the iron when finished). I suffered through the rust water spitting, but the iron finally bit the dust today. I think there's a bad connection between the cord and the iron itself, as mine would randomly turn off and then back on. Eventually, it would only stay on if I shoved the cord up in to the iron (which, while trying to iron, is pretty tough). As someone who irons work clothes for myself and my husband every day, I need something more reliable and of a higher quality. When the iron spits dirty water on your shirt JUST as you finish ironing, you have to start all over again - a complete waste of time.
Like I said, it was good while it lasted and would have probably lasted longer for someone who irons less. But that rust water issue was really inexcusable.
