After having too many expensive irons go bad, I decided to purchase the cheapest iron I could find. I actually found this one as a discontinued floor model at Target. I got it for $5! I really like the sole plate on it. I also like the vertical steam option. And, it's pretty. However, it's not very heavy. When an iron has some heft to it, it's easier to get out the wrinkles. It will stay in my closet as a back up, or as a freebie to someone that needs an iron. :) I would say though, if you're doing a lot of ironing, get a heavier feeling iron. The other demo I picked up is the Black & Decker Precision Point Iron and that one works WAY better!
