Finally....a good steam iron for a reasonable price!, May 26, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Euroflex Pressurized Steam Iron IS56 Blue (Kitchen) What can bring true happiness? The FedEx delivery person....that's what. After careful review of all the steam irons and steam generators out there I ordered a SteamTek steam generator. The thing hissed and spit water from day 1. Back to Overstock it went. I finally decided to settle on a regular steam iron and purchased a Black and Decker at Walmart. The steam shot quit after about 2 weeks. The steam was weak at best. Walmart got that one back. Back to the internet to search again. I found this EuroFlex at a great sale price and wondered just how good it could be for $45. With nothing to lose but the price of shipping I ordered it. It arrived sooner than expected :) Right out of the box it steamed and steamed and steamed without hissing or spitting. Now, this is just the first day. It may quit tomorrow but...today....I'm happy. I'm a seamstress so a good sharp crease is important to me. Hopefully this iron will live up to my expectations. Needs Improvement, January 14, 2012 This review is from: Euroflex Pressurized Steam Iron IS56 Blue (Kitchen) I ordered this iron, not expecting a top of the line steam generator because of the $37 price. I thought that if it didn't last, the amount wasn't so much that I'd mind buying a replacement. I didn't expect to send it back almost immediately because of defects.
The amount of steam is acceptable for a steam generator...definitely better than most regular irons. However....
The fact that a belt was included with the iron to hold it onto the steam tank should have given me a clue about the stability of the iron. The belt is not only to fasten the iron to the tank when moving it from one place to another. The space allowed for the iron to sit is too narrow and the silicon/rubber balls that the iron sits on are too far apart and if you don't get it set just right, it'll fall off the steam tank. Not a good thing with a hot iron.

The iron works, but for the first minute to minute & a half of ironing it spits & drips water. After the initial dripping phase it will iron just fine, but sop ironing for any amount of time, & you have to wait it out again!! I have tried spring water & tap water in it to try & fix the problem, but it still drags water.
