While I will agree that cordless is a great feature for an iron that's the only good thing this one has going for it. I had trouble with this iron dripping water while ironing with the steam off as well as dripping water just moving it from the base to the fabric on the board. When steaming it kept spitting out this white gritty like sand. I thought it may be just because it was new from the factory but after lots of steaming it still continues to do it. It also releases this stuff when you jiggle the iron. It could be that I just got a lemon but I can't recommend this iron.

I received this Smartek ST-2000N as a gift from my brother-in-law after a near accident with our "Black & Decker F1075 Iron". This is what happened. My wife was ironing and the cord was dangling down from the iron to the outlet and someone (me of course) walked by and tripped over the wire. This invention of a CORDLESS iron is one of those things that you say to yourself "why didn't I think of that?!" I would recommend this item for its design, performance and it's overall design. Super product, a MUST for every household.
