This iron is wonderful! I've had it several years. It gets so hot that I have never used the highest temp setting. It steams like crazy and no constant refilling. I sew and iron a lot of linen and this iron makes it so much easier. I had been going to estate sales and collecting old irons that would get hot enough, but their steam function was always gone. So, this iron has been a blessing.

I ordered a Silver Star ES-90 gravity stem iron from Merrow Global Stores but received ES-85 instead. Store claimed that ES-90 has been discontinued. Sewing supplies still have this on the web now, except at a higher price. At the time I placed my order, there were supposed to be 10 in stock and I paid for it immediately. Is the information about the discontinuation or the availability in stock true? Or my deal is too good to be true? I had the same iron, ES-85, for three years. I thought I could get a more updated one with higher number this time. When did actually ES-90 come out to the market? Is ES-85 going to be discontinued soon? No doubt in my mind, the store can do better. Would I be confident to purchase anything from them again? I do not know.
