I've been using a very old iron which was so heavy! Don't like to iron but have to since husband does laundry. Works terrific! Love the auto shut off! Arms are no longer tired after ironing!

As saying goes "you get what you pay".
Iron is cheaply made and looks and feels cheap.
The main problem is that water leaks from all the holes - nightmare.
Tomorrow this Black and Decker goes back to where it came from.
I would not recommend this product to anybody. Thank you.

I really only use it for sewing, so I didn't need anything fancy. I saw that this one had some bad reviews, but I thought, "How bad can it be? I just need it to iron". Well, it doesn't! Even on the highest setting, it barely got hot enough to make any steam at all. It wouldn't even iron a wrinkle out of my thin cotton fabric. For the price I paid, I didn't expect it to be awesome, but it at least has to work! I took it back the same day.
FYI: For those of you still looking for an iron in this price range, I ended up going with the Sunbeam Steam Master. Got it at target for around $20, and so far I'm pretty happy with it. It gets good and hot, and puts out plenty of steam. It also has the auto shut-off and a retractable cord (not too common in this price range). Oh yeah, it's also purple...bonus! It's not quite as good as my old one, but if your not wanting to spend $100 on a new iron,... Read more
